What Makes a Good Real Estate Brokerage?

By
Real Estate Agent with Revelation Real Estate SA639670000

Real estate brokerages are always trying to tell agents why that they are better than any other real estate brokerage and why that the agent should leave their current real estate broker to work for them.  They offer different rates, leads, office structures, and many other things.  It seems that there is so much hype out there that you could change real estate brokers every week and still not be sure that you are with the best or ever will be.  It seems the grass is always greener somewhere else.  The fact is that some real estate brokers are better at offering certain things than others just as some people are better at offering certain things than others are.  However, no real estate broker or person can be the best at offering everything.  I think that I have a really good set up with my real estate broker and I am not looking for change anytime soon.  However, that does not seem to matter to real estate brokers.  They are still sending me plenty of marketing material.

It seems that I get emails quite often from real estate brokers offering me a position with their firm and trying to tell me why they are so much better than the real estate broker that I am with.  I even had one real estate broker whom contacted me through Active Rain once that they saw that I had a featured post.  They wanted to offer me one of a few "select positions" within their real estate brokerage.  They had asked to talk to me sometime within the next week.  I sent a reply back to that real estate broker letting them know that I was willing to talk to them if they wanted me to do so but that I was not looking to change real estate brokers anytime soon.  I have yet to hear back from that real estate broker.  I am sure that the broker just knew how hard it is to get featured and that he wanted to have that acknowledgment in his real estate brokerage.

I think that the true test is how that you personally feel about working with your real estate broker and are they providing you with what you need to succeed in this business.  I am lucky enough to recognize that I work for one of the best real estate brokerages in Arizona and I think that I would have to be very ignorant to want to leave.  I have a really great team with lots of experience and exceptional training opportunities.  I also have a better compensation package than most agents.  My real estate brokerage is a really great place to work.

Your loyalty is great Rocky and I think that it is a compliment that you are propositioned by so many Brokers. I think that no office is perfect but that if the main things that you need for support are good and the office has a good reputation and team players, then you should stay where you are. Switching around too much can confuse clients and they may lose track of where you are next!

If you are a hard work, consistent, pleasant and helpful in serving your real estate buyers, sellers, anyone would want that type of professional on the team. An AR feature post and a dollar will get you a coffee but not make you a sought after asset all by its lonesome.
