• October 1 - January 15, 2012, "Maneki Neko: Japan's Beckoning Cats, From Talisman to Pop Icons," Mingei International Museum, Balboa Park, San Diego. See my blog post at Beckoning Cats. These are sculptures of cats their paws raised in the Japanese gesture of beckoning. They are considered good luck charms. mingei.com
