I love passing by the corner florist shop in Tumwater because it is so much fun to see the "flower lady" outside the shop who is always sporting the look of the season - and right now it is pumpkins!!
And I love all things pumpkin - pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie - pumpkin spice lattes - yum!!!
Not to mention the fun of heading to a local pumpkin patch to get pumpkins to decorate our front porch.
And pumpkins to carve into scary Halloween faces to greet trick-or-treaters.
Seems like pumpkins reflect the autumn colors of leaves turning orange, red and gold too - such a rich, warm signal that it is autumn.
Enjoy pumpkin season!! Now I have to go dig out my pumpkin muffin recipe - somehow I am craving pumpkin!!
