Many people who have to write short sale letters, want to tell it all - they want to tell how they are victimized by the banks and by the system. They want to share their pain in losing the home. Many even go back to why they bought the home to start with.

Here is the bottom line. The banks do not care about all of that. All they want to know is what is your hardship and why you cannot make your payments.

Here are some examples of hardships:

1. Loss of job

2. Illness

3. Divorce

4. Loss of income

5. Moving for a job

Just write a simple to the point letter:

I cannot make my house payments due the following hardship:

I request a short sale
