Warren County & Cincinnati Area Things to Do September 30 - October 2 2011
Summer is officially over. The leaves are already starting to change, and some of them are already hitting the ground! As the season goes, so go the weekend activities! The outdoor movies are wrapped up. The Reds season is over, but to make up for it, there are more events with a Fall flavor for you! Click the links where we have them for more information on the available events!
If you love antique shopping, then head to Ohio's longest running antique show as Lebanon hosts the Lebanon Antiques Show at Bowman Primary on October 1 & 2. Come out for some great opportunity to find some unique pieces!
Of course we've still got the Ohio Renaissance Festival in Harveysburg (on SR73 just east of Waynesville). It's going to be much cooler this weekend, so dress accordingly since you're going to be spending a lot of time outdoors!
Hidden Valley Fruit Farm is hosting their Ohio Cider Fest this weekend! Freshly pressed for your enjoyment! And of course they'll have plenty more to do while you're there!
The Oktoberfests are winding down, but if you check the Cincinnati area Oktoberfest schedule, you'll find there are two this weekend, one in Colerain Township and another in Brookville, Indiana.
Need to put some BOO in your October? Kings Island opened Halloween Haunt last weekend! Lots of haunted mazes, and a good many of rides are open too! Buy your tickets online to get the discount. Go back to the link for more details!
And the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad is running the Pumpkin Patch Express every weekend in October! You can even pick & purchase your own pie pumpkin at Schappacher Farm as part of the excursion!
And if love corn mazes, Lebanon's Irons Fruit Farm has got just the thing for you! They've gone to the Zoo, check out the pattern of this 12 acre corn maze that's now open weekends through the end of October! Saturday's 11-5, Sundays 12-5. Ages 4 and under free, 5-12 $4, 13 & up $6. Located at 1640 Stubbs Mill Rd (turn at the Bob Evans at SR123), they've got fruit, jams & jellies, baked goods and more to offer too!
And of course we've got the regular standbys! It's not too cold to paddle the Little Miami River or spend some time at Caesar's Creek State Park if you dress appropriately!
And don't forget, there's plenty of area high school football tonight, so check out your favorite team's schedule and dress for some cooler weather and maybe have a cup or two of hot chocolate!
So make your pick of one or more events, and we hope you have a fantastic weekend!
