2 Comments on Keep Vegetation Trimmed And Far From The House
All very good points.. Here in Lake Tahoe, an Alpine environment our reason to keep shrubs and bushes away is FIRE. Same with tree. I think it is cut the trees up at least 30 feet, brush etc 100 feet away
New Homeowners just don't realize that tress grow to be BIG (unless they are dwarf) and plant them too close to the house. But, creating a spider habitat? I don't like living with spiders..... just last night I opened the door to the porch, and there, waiting for me was a HUGE tarantula.....OMG! I looked at it, and remembered seeing people handle these huge spiders like pets..... so I asked it (in the Native American tradition): "What do you have to tell me?", and the answer was, "I will leave you alone if you leave me alone.... and I will eat as many insects as I can". I told that spider, " I will leave you alone..... just don't ever come into my house". That was that.....
