There are many types of blogging as we have seen over the past few years. Kids are blogging as well as professionals on many sites including Myspace.com as well as professional/career web sites such as our activerain.com. Those who are into blogging know they can expect great things to come of it.

If you are a professional, you can expect a jump in the search engine to help boost your Real Estate career. If you are seeking out a larger sphere of friends, it can open up more opportunities to meet others like yourself. If you are seeking others that have the same hobbies, you can find others there that share your same passion/interests.

No matter what your reasons for blogging, great responsibility comes with great blogging. As you blog your career, you will find more and more scam artists out there trying to hook you into their little web of lies to either steel money from you or even to hook you into one of their programs- either way it can cost you your hard earned money.

If you have a child  that loves to blog, the responsibility falls for ensuring your child's safety with on line predators as well as scam artists that target the younger crowd. There are web sites for posting photos and they also have a blogging section for those who have a passion for photos. Anywhere you can blog, you have to take caution for those who may mean you harm.

Blogging has been the new wave for networking as well as boosting your personal life/interests. It's knowing how to sort the friend from foe. You hear so many stories weather it is on the news or even from a blog about people who have been scammed or a child that had been harmed or even worse.

With new trends that come along, so do the negative factors. It is the responsibility of the blogger to ensure their personal and financial safety.

Maureen, I began AR blogging wanting to improve my SEO.  Now, I think I blog to ask questions, get answers, and to advertise my listings.  Great post.  Thanks.

A great point.  People venturing online and making contact should be cautious and that goes for not getting too personal on blogs.  I've seen blogs (not on AR) where people are discussing their neighborhood where they live or the school their child goes to.  Just not smart blogging there.

Sometimes I have been guilty to maybe give "too much information" but I have learned over the past year what the good and the bad of blogging falls.
