Google Real Time Analytics- News You Can Use! 

Google launched Google Analytics Real Time yesterday. You can now see what is going on, on your site right this minute. Really real time stats! How cool is that! 

Now when you write a post and then tweet your link to that post you can see the immediate traffic spike or not from that tweet. You can see the traffic coming to your site from that tweet and you can see when the traffic dips. This helps you to start to fine tune your tweets so you can get them out when the traffic spikes and re-engage when it starts dying down. 

You can use real time analytics for testing. Now you can save a lot of money testing and use much smaller samplings because the results are driven in real time. You can find out in seconds what is going on and what is driving traffic. 

There is so much more you can do with real time analytics but don't forget- no matter how much time you spend on analytics the most important task is to make your phone to ring. 

To get Google Analytics real time you need to be using the new version of analytics. If you are using the new version already Google may have already turned this feature on for you. If not, you can go here to sign up:

I do have other blogs that are yielding great analytics statistics through Google though. Love it!
