Never wrap your Celtic Sword in a Spiderman blankie (LOL)

Did I mention I have some really neat toys? I do you know... and very neat friends to go with them (happy grin). Seems I got busted by Jen for wrapping my swords in a Spiderman blankie. She saw some linen on the floor of her guest room and decided to do my laundry, grabbed the end of a sheet to pick it up with the intention of tossing it in her basket but inadvertently sent my gym equipment spilling willy nilly. Imagine her surprise when cali sticks and swords came tumbling out (LOL).

Of course my Android went off shortly thereafter (silly grin).

Me: Hey bay-bay!

Jen: Um... you wrapped a Celtic Sword in a Spiderman blankie...

Me: Um... yeah...

Jen: Why?

Me: I ran out of bubble-wrap... Um... why are you poking around in my room? You might not want to touch anything else in your guest room until I get back. I've got more toys wrapped between the linen... a few may be in my pockets...

Jen: Seriously?

Me: Seriously...

Jen: Okay. A little warning would have been nice... BTW: I stabbed the floor trying to do your laundry.

Me: Um... Why are you doing my laundry?

Jen: I was trying to be nice...Did you miss the part about how I STABBED THE FLOOR? Just sayin' never wrap your Celtic Sword in a Spiderman blanket again. It's the only one out of its sheath. No sheath means the point can stab the floor... or a toe if you're slow getting the hell out of the way. You're lucky I'm fast or I'd be kicking your a$$ in short order.

Hmm... She would too. In spades (LOL). ;-)

When I got back chicka had laid out every weapon not locked in a case (and actually polished one - LMAO). We're going out back to play with them in her yard later (after I go to storage to find the missing sheath - LOL). Jen is a lot better at Tai Chi than I am so I'm happy we're having lunch and comparing our toy collections. I do the Yang style. She does the Chen style. I like to bounce Zen Master jokes off of her because she is so Feng Shui cool. ;-)

We're thinking of inviting a couple of our gym buddies over to her house to work out with us later. If it doesn't rain we'll have a backyard BBQ afterward for dinner. I need a lockable case so Jen may take me into China Town later to find something suitable to secure these in. She's gonna hold them for me while I run amok this Fall. She is also gonna keep a couple of my paintings for me. There are some things I do not want to worry about while I am gone.

Turns out Jen really likes the Celtic Sword. It is a replica of The Sword of the King... a very heavy bit of hand crafted workmanship. Yup, I'm into Camelot (and so are my kids). I actually have two of these: one to work out with and one that is hermetically sealed in its original case that has never been opened. There's a knight shield somewhere buried in storage too. I should go dig it out and give it a whirl because it's nice doing a pajama party with a bunch of marital artists (and the set should remain together).

Today's agenda: we are going to watch kung fu movies all day and snack a lot. Looking forward to tonight's play date with my gal pals when we tag team each other for a sparring match. We're going to the range tomorrow to shoot off more of my bullets. I may have to give the remainder of them away to my law enforcement buddies if I don't get to fire them all off before it's time for me to leave New York City. ;-)

My friends are trying to make moving fun for me. I am also giving a lot of stuff away so I'm looking forward to the pajama parties. Delivering books next. Stay tuned for book club and a bunch of author updates. ;-)
