Time for the weird and wacky (It's October!)

A friend forwarded me a list of, uh, interesting festivals occurring throughout the country for the next eight weeks. I share it with you just in case you're still looking for something to do.

  1. It's time for weird and wackyFestival of the Dead; Salem, Massachusetts. Talk to deceased loved ones via real-life witches. All of October.
  2. Wooly Worm Festival; Banner Elk, North Carolina. Spend October 15 & 16 watching caterpillars forecast winter.
  3. Fantasy Fest; Key West, Florida. Hosted by XXX thespians Bre Olson and Ron Jeremy (I have no idea who they are, but they must be XXX famous) from October 21 through the 30th.
  4. Barktoberfest; Nashville, Tennessee. Costume party for dogs (and their people). October 22.
  5. Arkansas Annual Bean Fest & Championship Outhouse Races;
    Mountain View, Arkansas. Find out who has the fastest privy in the Ozarks. October 28 & 29.
  6. HUMP! Amateur Pornography Festival; Seattle, Washington. According to the publicity brochures, "The Oscars with Orgasms." Hmmm. November 4 & 5.
  7. Turkey Testicle Festival; Huntley, Illinois. Apparently this is a food event because it says to "apply lots of Tabasco before tasting." November 23.

Jim  I do believe and wacky is a very apt description for these events.  I can say with certainty I would not be caught dead at any of them even if they were free  :0

Sounds like a lot of kool events.  Hopefully you will be able to attend at least one of them.  Los Angeles has quite a few halloween Gala's.. you just have to find them
