It Was a Good Day

It was a good day. We drove to Brasstown this morning to see the Fall Festival at the John C. Campbell Folk School. The weather was stunning and perfect for walking around the grounds. The craftspeople seemed to be doing good business. In upcoming days, I will post about some of the local potters and the upcoming WNC Pottery Festival scheduled for the first Saturday in November. But today was about scenery and the chance to meet a fellow ActiveRainer! Leslie and I got to meet Cyndi Daves from Murphy. She was at the festival with friends of hers. Unfortunately, the photo of the three of us did not come out very good...so I guess that just means we'll have to get together again. She was even prettier than her profile photo and extremely nice.

The trip back to Sylva was smooth and we stopped so I could get a couple of photos of the incredible views looking towards Franklin, NC from US64. I just love living here!
