Special offer

Authentisign Electronic Signature VS Docusign

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Key Land Company Lic# 23293

Northwest Multi-Listing now offers a discount on the "Authentisign" electronic signauture program.  I am a fan of Docusign and had success with the ease of the program for my clients.  Authentisign's discounted price, makes it affordable.  In my opinion, both programs (if they perform the same) are worth the money.  These days, a majority of my clients have email access and are fairly at ease on a computer.  That and with the combination of busy schedules and current gas prices, electronic signatures are a win win for everyone.  I enjoy the face to face contact with my clients when I list their property or when we are out shopping, but when we are at the stage of add-on addendums and last minute initials/signatures, it is a great tool and my clients have welcomed the time it saves.

A few dollars either way won't matter to me as much as the ease of use.  Not all clients have the same comfort zone on the computer and I want a program that will work for all my clients, regardless of their skill level.  Again, I am familiar with Docusign, so looking for reviews or input on Authentisign.

Hi Ruth,

I am not familiar with Authentisign. As a cofounder of Vignature, an image-based electronic signature company, I encourage you to try our free e-signature services. Vignature allows for you to sign from an iPhone, Android, or computer. All of Vignature's products use camera functionality to capture an image of the signer, in creating a verifiable electronic signature. Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Kelly Spradley

Kelly,  Thank you I am always looking at new things available!  I can see where using my iphone with a quick signature would come in handy!

Ruth,

We have had great success & truly enjoy using DocuSign.  We are considering switching to Authentisign because of the cost savings.  Have you tried both platforms & do you have any feedback on the pros & cons between the two?  In our business, we will definitely keep using an electronic signatures platform, but want to reconsider our options.

Thank you,

Jim Roy

I've been using Docusign for a long time, though I'm not at all excted about the recent changes.  While I understand software evolves, I don't understand why they've suggested I spend time to look at the new videos to learn how to use the software I've been using for over 2 years.  It appears much less user friendly for whoever creates the documents now.

Authentisign does appear to be moving in grabbing market share, they've made a move into the greater Washington DC market recently.

But, I'm with Ruth here, I'd like to understand what the pros/cons are for each solution, and from there, consider which option is more compelling.

Price is part of it, but surely, ease of use is important.  Obviously, I'm assuming each is fully guaranteed and can support it's claims of legal merit.

A colleague of mine used both products recently with two different sets of clients as a test.  He asked both clients which product they felt was easier to use.  Both answered that Authentisign was easier to use for them.  Food for thought.

Hi Ruth!

Just found your post.  I've been using Authentisign for about a year now.  I have also used Docusign.  Despite the discount, I like Authentisign better.  But either one are good.  I saw a webinar on Inman that was tauting Echosign from Adobe but, as with all Adobe products, it is more expensive and the only quickly identifiable difference is that the signature is created by the signer.  Big whoop.

I have been using NVAR's free Instanet Forms with a paid subscription to Authentisign for a couple of years now.  Authentisign does everything for me that I read Docusign can do, but Authentisign is much cheaper.  The only issue that I have with Authentisign is that sometimes the space is too short for what I need to write.  Authentisign leaves a  + sign at the end of the text to indicate that there should be more.  You can change the font size to get more letters to fit, but the font changes for everything that you type into the document.  Can anyone share what problems if any they have with docusign?

Some of the agents in my office have complained that their programs can't do just an initial where you can with Docusign. I don't know about Authentisign. Anybody else know?
