6 Comments on Juice Fasting by your DC Realtor
Congratulations on making the time and taking the energy to do something for yourself. Keep us posted. Nine pounds in seven days is wonderful!
Djana, that does sound like a real challenge with a busy schedule. It's very hard to break away from the foods that comfort us, so congratulations for following through with this.
Hi Anne,
I'm typical of most moms, in that my focus has been mostly outside of myself (kids, husband, job) and I've spent very little time or energy on making myself better. Thus is not something that I ever thought I would do, but its been a wonderful experience. I'll write a followup on Friday once I've finished the juice fast.
Djana, I know there are some wonderful recipes out there for juicing. What a wonderful, cleansing you are giving your body. Now, what happens after day 10?
Hi Malcolm,
The funny thing is that I have MORE energy, I'm sleeping much better and just feel good! I've have a bad back (I have a herniated disk) and have pain every morning. Since day 4, I have had no back pain. Not a twinge, nothing. It's just amazing.
Hi Mary,
This juice fast is a way for me to "reboot" my body -- hopefully break old habits, and begin a healthier eating style. I plan to continue to fast at least once/week, and replace some meals with juice. I also plan to eat more fruits, vegetables and fish, and less red meat. I'm excited!
