3 Comments on Desert Hot Springs CA Real Estate House Sales and Home Listings - Short Sales, Foreclosures and Standard Sales - August 2011 Market News Report
Hello,
53% of active listings are distressed sales. Ouch!
Mammoth has suffered from this trend as well.
Let's keep a good thought for a quick and sustained economic recovery.
The high percentage of distressed sales in the Desert Hot Springs area has been consistent for the past three to four years.
Look close at these numbers:
According to the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), there were 69 closed Desert Hot Springs home sales from September 1st to September 30th, 2011.
And according to the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), there are 107 Desert Hot Springs active listings from September 1st to September 30th, 2011.
Its amazing that most sold listings were foreclosures, but most new listings are a combination of foreclosures and short sales!
