I watched an excellent special on the Vanishing of Bees off of Netflix. You hear about how Bees are thinning out and colonies are dying and there is no reason for them to do that. So, they made a mystery out of it. The BEE havior of Bees directly affects mankind and our economy and this is something that we need to know
WHERE DO BABIES COME FROM?
For those that never got the Birds and the Bees lecture or were absent in school on that day, Trees and flowers just cannot get up and go to each other and date and mate. So, they have learned to instruct the Bees to help their process along. A Bee will travel from flower to flower and pollen just sticks on them like a glue and gets transferred wherever they go. The end result is that the trees or flowers get pregnant and have seeds which produce the end product
BEES DROPPING LIKE FLIES?
So the special goes on to relate how Bees are dropping like Flies and they don't know why. They present it like it is a true mystery half way through the film. Then, it lands where you can figure it all out. We have used artificial seeds with genetic alterations, we over use pesticides, and we also do one other thing
WE MURDER THE EXISTING QUEEN BEE
The life span of a queen Bee is about 5 years. But if we are to artificially stimulate a hive to become bigger faster and already has a Queen with mileage on her, they trade her in for a new and improved model. They kill the existing Queen, smear her body fluids all over the new Queen so that Ms New Bee (huge pun) is not rejected by the hive.
MAN AT WORK..THERE IS NO MYSTERY HERE
So is this really a mystery after all? We have interfered with the whole process and have gotten away with murder literally and when thing start going wrong, we act like kids saying..Whats wrong here? You can thank the EPA or Environmental Protection Agency for doing near nothing and charging dearly for it
WE NEED PROTECTION FROM THE PROTECTION PEOPLE
The EPA strategy consists of hiring the very people who are contaminating and interfering with Nature and charging them with the responsibility of conducting test in-regards to this problem. then, they analyze the tests and instruct them accordingly. It seems to me that an independent testing firm should be used, but they could result in the complete shutting down of the industry
THEY KEEP DDYING...WE KEEP REPLACING (insanity)?
Meanwhile, the Bees keep dying literally and we keep trying to replace even shipping them overseas and cross country to pollinate. Failure for Bees to do their thing means fruits and vegetables becoming scarce and expensive and us becoming dependent on others for that product.
MAN...OH...MAN
Mankind...continues to bring us both the life pains and the pleasures. When will we learn to harmonize and not produce things for solely for money and gain?
