The phones were quiet for a Sunday.  I received a phone call from friends that said they were driving an hour north to Jensen Beach/Hutchinson Island and wanted to know if I wanted to join them.

That was a two second decision.  Come and get me I hollered!  Grabbed my netbook and cellphone in case I had to work while on the road.

Jensen Beach Bridge to Hutchinson IslandWhat a beautiful day to enjoy friends by the water and delicious appetizers like Alligator tidbits and Conch Fritters, while listening to steel drums play island music. Conchy Joe's Steel Drum Music

The place was serious Dolphin Headquarters....they even flew the Dolphin's Team flag below the American flag on the roof.

I had been to Conchy Joe's Conchy Joe's in Jensen Beachabout 12 years earlier while on vacation in Hutchinson Island, but didn't remember until I walked into the restaurant.  I just loved the rustic atmosphere and all of the character hanging from the ceiling.  Almost like being in Key West.

I tried to feel guilty about not being in the office doing paperwork, but it was really hard.

Southeast Florida has SOOOOOOOO MANY Places along the water to enjoy what my brother calls, "Eye Candy". A 25 minute drive to Fort Lauderdale, an hour to Miami or an hour and a half across Alligator Alley to Naples for a whole different perspective.

It was just one of those days that reminded me how grateful I am to live in Southeast Florida.  It was a perfect day to play hooky with fun friends!!       Debbie and John at the Dolphin Restaurant
