How's YOUR Brand doing???

By
Education & Training with Advantage Solutions Group

One of my clients asked me if I was going to start recommending tatoos!!!!

No. No. Not that kind of branding, thank goodness !

When I listen to my favorite songs and artists, it strikes me how individual each singer sounds. From Nora Jones, Willy Nelson, Jimmy Buffet, each of these artists appeal to me because they have carved a distinctive niche with their music. I don't want to hear a singer who sounds generic or just like someone else. I want their style! This uniqueness is their brand.

What is your brand? What tune is yours and yours alone? Your differentiation is what attracts business to you. If you've done a good job, people will understand you have something that every other agent doesn't. It might be your patience. Your attention to each and every detail. Your fun and wit and caring. Your extensive knowledge a special type property. You get the idea.....

Do you leverage this strength? Your uniqueness and your service is what will get you referrals. People want to refer their friends to the EXTRAORDINARY agent-not the ordinary agent. Do you demonstrate and remind your database of those special things you do better than anyone else? Have you found some ways to partner with business people whose extraordinariness complements yours?

COACHING CHALLENGE> Raise the bar and implement something new in the next 30 days:

  • write an article on your specialty
  • create a joint marketing campaign with a strategic partner
  • remind your sphere of your specialness by doing something or offering something valuable
  • do something that is uniquely you!

Repetitive consistency builds brand awareness (and will bring business!)

Joeann - It is so important to remind your sphere of influence as to what makes you unique, failure to do so can be costly.

Joeann,

If we were still rating I would give this a 5!!! I've always detested 'me too' business people!!! Not the people themselves but the 'vanilla' aspect!!! Thanks,   Fran

Hi Joeann, is "sardonic" a brand? LOL!  I have a unique sense of humor that I try to make the most of.  I find that the owners of our houses respond well when someone can crack a joke!

Fran  Thanks! I guess are just not creative or entreprenurial enough to think how they can set themselves apart. Doesn't apply to you!!!!!!

Jonathan  Well now that you mention it...a sense of humor can make your clients LOVE and REMEMBER you. Both good things!!!!Being memorable comes in many flavors

Joeann- it is so very true, we need to stand out.  In the world of real estate there are so many agents all offering the same things.  Thanks for the tips!
