Things to Do in and Around Nampa Idaho...The Great Idaho Shake Out!!!

Many folks have transplanted themselves  to Nampa Idaho from California...Earthquake

Those who have moved to Idaho probably don't miss the Earthquakes.....

I know that is one part of California I don't miss......

But did you know that Idaho actually has some pretty serious earthquake faults that run through the state....

However most are very inactive...from what I have been told....if they were active they could do more damage than the faults in California....

Idaho will be taking part in the largest Earthquake Drill in Idaho History

on October 20, 2010

Wow this would make a great Localism post... LOL.  Hard to break the habit now :)  Albuquerque is much like Idaho we too have vaults but it's rare we feel the earth move.  No thank you to quakes!

Wow!  I never thought of Idaho having serious earthquakes!    Of course, who would have thought about the East having them either?  Good idea for a post!

Hi Deborah,

Wow..I was really taken back..I had no idea Idaho had any faults!! I remember visiting my sister when she lived in LA and they had a minor quake and her piano starting dancing across the room! Wow..I could not believe it!!

An earthquake drill is an excellent idea so folks know what they need to do or not do. I hope they get a lot of folks to take part.
