Starting a Small Business in Katy Texas

The Katy Branch Library will conduct a class titled “How to Start a Small Business” on Thursday October 6. 2011. The Katy Branch Library is located at 5414 Franz Road Katy Texas. The library phone number is 281-391-3509 and there is additional information on the Library’s web site. The Katy Branch Library is part of the Harris County Library System. The program begins at 1:00 PM.

The program will be presented by SCORE and will cover key topics such as accounting, financing, managing and proper startup of a small business. SCORE is a nonprofit organization and a partner with the federal governments’ Small Business Administration.

Small Business in my personal opinion is the key driver in the US for the creation of new jobs. All across this country we all need more programs like this and entrepreneurs also need the ability to tap necessary capital. Education is very important but obtaining the seed money is also extremely important.

Robert - It's a good sign when new businesses are opening in these economic times.  It's excellent when SCORE puts together seminars like this.

This is great! We did something similar when my husband was startimg his pest control business. We utilized the Small Business Development Center at Sam Houston State University. It was FREE and their help was priceless!

Bob,

It seems that these days the way to make wealth is to start your own business; although these are tough times to do it in.
