Please Give Me Your Thoughts

I think the most challenging part of writing “Helpful Hints” each week is coming up with topics I feel YOU might be interested in. I’ve now written over 200 articles, and “writer’s block” is not uncommon. ……..so I am asking for your help.

What topics of interest would you like to see me write about? Here are just a few areas that I have written about in the past:

I also want to take a moment to thank you for YOUR COMMENTS which you leave at the end of each article. They are greatly appreciated. Each week I also receive comments from Realtors from over the United States commenting on my articles. I belong to several on-line business groups and these articles are read by many of my colleagues as well. Their comments are also greatly appreciated because we all have the same goal, and that is to make this a better place to live in! Hopefully, our efforts in real estate have benefitted you as well.

Perhaps the next time you think of something you feel would be worth writing about, just email at nancy at nancyhankin.com . I would be thrilled to hear what “topics of interest” you are most interested in.

IMPORTANT: If you or someone you know is interested in buying or selling a home in the Palm Desert Area, try searching properties on the same Desert Area MLS Realtor’s use, or give me a call….or visit my website at Palm Springs Homes and Estates. I will be happy to give you or your referral my “red carpet service.” After the sale, I will send you a $50 Gift Certificate towards dinner in a fabulous Palm Springs Area Restaurant so you can celebrate!

Brought to You By Your Favorite Realtor,

Nancy Hankin

Nancy:  You've got a great list that you've written about....how about how would you answer a seller who says they wish you not to do a "hard sell on a potential buyer" but wish the buyer to recognize their home is a good buy without any extra help from the listing agent??  So please don't contact anyone after an open house as a follow up??

i guess I would thank the seller for their comments, and then explain that the PURPOSE of an Open House is to Obtain Helpful Information from Buyers that will assist you in getting their home SOLD. You might explain to your seller that you are in the business of MARKETING homes and SELLING HOMES, and FOLLOW-UP is a critical function in obtaining that goal.  You might also tell your seller that "follow-up" is not considered a "hard sell." It is considered as a Professional Follow-Up and you would be remiss if you only did half your job. If homes SOLD BY THEMSELVES, there would be thousands of sellers holding their homes open to the general public and no need for Realtors. You might also tell them that you have many hundreds of hours of training and experience, and you hope they will trust that you know how to do your job in their best interest, It's imortsnt that you "take the lead" NOW. If you don't, the sellers will continue to try leading you around in circles. Good luck and thank for your comments.
