Wordless Wednesday: Our Children Will Never Know...

tape

Our children will never know the link between a cassette tape and a pencil! Isn't that the truth!! When I saw this, I literally laughed out loud! Do you remember the panic of the tape coming out? What would we have don't without pencils? They personally saved my New Kids on the Block tape more than once!

Have a great Wednesday!

Times are rapidly changing.  Pretty soon, they might not know about school books other than what they see on a Kindle or their computer.

Enjoy the activities of the fall season and be sure to have your camera in hand for those special moments.

Maggie - so true, there are amazing technological changes that have already happened, and they just seem to keep leapfrogging each other....and, yet, we had such a simple way to fix our cassette tapes!

Hold on to your cassette tapes. I just read this weekend that they might become popular once again.

Cassette tapes, where did they go?  In some forgotten drawers, I'm sure. :)

Good morning Maggie. This is wonderful. I still have cassettes tapes and when my old player stopped working, I actually bought a new old one on Ebay. Have a good day.

Hi Maggie,

It is amazing how fast our world is changing. We want so much for our children and they do not realize how far we have come and behind the times we grew up in. It is truly an amazing world now.

Hi Roy; I sure hope books never go away but, you could be right. Although, I do own a kindle I love the smell of an old book.  (Which I know sounds weird.)

Very true Carol.  I still have a tape recorder and also own a small recorder without a tape.  Hands down love the tape recorder better.  It works better and less complicated.

Great news Gita!

Me too Ricki lol

Sheila; If mine broke I would buy a new one too.  My kids range from 27 to 10 and now have a granddaughter.  I love to listen back on how their voice was in the past.

That is funny Will.  Mine does not have a tape player anymore.  Although I wish it did! Somehow I always seem to mess up my CD's.

You are right Kristin, life is changing very fast and this is an amazing world we live in today.  The good thing is we have our children to keep us up to date.

I had to think about this for a minute, Maggie, ...and then I remembered putting the eraser end of the pencil into the tape cartridge to wind the tape back in. Cute! I also remember 45 records and 8-track tapes!

When I saw that it made me laugh too.  I bet some kids wouldn't even know what the cassette tape was.

I'm not sure saving the New Kids on the Block tape was the right decision, but I remember when my kids asked about the big black CDs. (I have 15,000 of them)
