Native plant sale, October 15, 2011

The California Native Plant Society will be having its fall native plant sale on Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the courtyard of the Casa del Prado Theatre, 1700 Village Place, in Balboa Park.

This is a great opportunity to get native plants at much lower prices than you would normally find at Home Depot or the plant nurseries. Since they've been grown by the expert members of the California Native Plant Society, you can be assured that they are ready to go home to your garden. 

Alongwith native shrubs, trees, and flower plants, there are seeds, books, and posters, as well as friendly and knowledgeable experts to answer your questions. 

Plants go quickly, which is probably why it's only a four-hour sale, so I recommend getting there early.
