The Gallatin Field Airport (BZN) in Belgrade Montana, serving Bozeman and the surrounding region, may soon have a non-stop air flight to New York, NY (JFK).

By combining a $950,000 public grant from the US Department of Transportation's Small Community Air Service Development Program with approximately $725,000 in private monies offered both by ski areas and businesses near Big Sky and Bozeman, airport officials hope to get Montana's newest direct flight off the ground.

With the Gallatin Field expansion having recently finished, adding four new gates, Gallatin airport officials are eager to expand national and international air service into southwest Montana.

If this new SW Montana air service can be instituted, soon residents of Montana could be on their way home from a Broadway play in the Big Apple with New Yorkers on their way to enjoy Big Sky Montana skiing. Stay tuned for updates.

Next comes a name change for Bozeman Airport Gallatin Field.
