Life With Wee People: Skype Sketching @LynnRush and @VickiPettersson

My 5 year old is turning into my favorite curator (silly grin). Skype Sketching @LynnRush and @VickiPettersson was a lot of fun.

I'm fooling around with an Amy DeZellar, Jaye Wells, Jeannie Holmes, Kim Harrison and Jocelynn Drake pen and ink collection. He wants me to do them all in black ink now (after making me draw them in red graphite/mixed media like the fickle slave driver he is - LOL). We are chatting about his recent discovery of Twitter and hooked the Droid into @WordyC so he can "check on his uploads" (1) as if we don't already spend way too much time playing in social media and (2) as if both my kids need a new computer habit (LOL). I figure since I spend most of my time flipping music and incessantly chatting in @CTannStarr I can't begrudge the shorties a picture flipping tweet-spot on the twit-stream. They have an expectation of pixels floating by and also want to expand their Facebook spot so I figure why not? We are kind of overdue for an Autism/PDD-NOS adventure... Why not a Twitter-centric one? ;-)

Stephen also wants to do a YouTube when I get back. He has discovered NASCAR. I quote: "We have to go to Daytona." Um... okay (LOL). I told him he's going to have to select more art first and wait until November. His response? Little Dude got me to draw more red portraits because red and yellow are his fave colors and we need new art (LOL).

Turns out he only liked the Red Jaye and the Red Marc the other day when I finished them (so I have to go shred the excess work and get more practice in by creating new studies in black - sigh). Lets see if he likes the Black Jaye when I'm done later tonight (she's up to four works of art now and the Emmy, Marc and Kim piles are really growing). So far, the Minion Blur likes the Black Lynn and the Black Vicki so I uploaded them in Facebook and Twitter. The boys were happy to pixel-spot-check me (Noah, the Net Geek LOVES using Google ) so my little minion work is done (until the next round of art is selected - LOL).

I'm squeezing in this blog post before we start our next bit of Skype mischief. My boys are Skype Monsters and we like to chat and watch each other work/play when I'm not at home. Pssst... Guess who is about to sketch live in Starbucks? (Oh Joy! - ROTFL)

Stephen has another idea for his childrens book and I'm meeting with an Angel Investor to talk about it. It is an accidental Starbucks-peep hook-up who thinks the way I entertain my kids is charming (and kind of fascinating because I can doodle really fast to keep up with their mad short attention spans - LOL). I am used to the fact that I have to draw these things on the fly because Shorty is a notoriously unreliable narrator who will probably be replaced with a professional writer or be made a supervisor since it is his graphic novel).

They are gonna have a cow when they discover what's in my sketchbooks. My kids and I have created several worlds (LOL).

Laura, what I can't do is a pretty interesting loooong list, but I'm working on whacking it down to a more manageable size while I enjoy my second childhood (LOL). We have to get together before the 19th. I will message you my new contact number and see what we can cook up. ;-)
