This year's Los Angeles Haunted Hayride "Through the Eyes of a Child" is all about the demented Clifton twins who were the daughters of zoo keeper Ferdinand Clifton.

Propelling those brave enough to venture on these hay filled wagons, you are sure to be faced with the most disturbing fears that afflict most of us.  You will become prey for mascots of death, the 400yr old Clifton twins as well as clowns interested in more than just clowning around.

Bigger and more frightening than ever before, this event is not for the faint of heart for your courage will be tested to the limit!  But don't worry, there is always the "Baby Ripcord" for those not brave enough to see the ride to the end (and you will immediately be escorted out of the ride).  The "Human Menagerie" is also as scary as ever with their collection of psychics, demonic stilt walkers as well as a collection of others that are DYING to meet you!

Tickets are available online at Los Angeles Haunted Hayride starting at $25.  There are special rates for groups of 20 or more as well as VIP tickets.  Hayride hours are 7pm-midnight on Fridays & Saturdays and 7pm-10:30pm on all other dates.

The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is located at Griffith Park's Old Zoo at 4730 Crystal Springs Ave. just beyond the Park Ranger HQ and Shane's Inspiration below Harding Golf Course.  Follow the signs to the Merry Go Round.

The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride & Maze is not recommended for children under 10yrs old.  Furthermore, this event is not recommended for anyone with health issues that can be aggravated by riding this ride or any other form of participation.  Ride at your own risk.  No costumes, alcohol and/or smoking allowed on the ride.

Tickets are non-refundable once you enter the ride.
Inclement weather policy is that if the ride is closed due to inclement weather, your tickets can be used as a general admission for any day the ride is open.  For more info contact 310.9938289 or visit Los Angeles Haunted Hayride.

This sounds neat. But it is definitely something you would expect in Hollywood, I mean Los Angeles

Donne - This sounds like quite an experience and definitely not one I'd take my little ones too at this point.  I'm partial to Knott's Scary Farm.

Sounds like a blast, Donne. I'll have to check out the story on-line - the stuff that haunted Hollywood is made of.

We have a haunted hayride at the Scream Zone in Del Mar...which I have yet to write about.

Happy Halloween - hard to believe it's almost here.

Hi Donna,

My kids and I love doing the haunted houses and hayrides in the area.  We have some great ones in PA.  Would love this one but LA is a little far, maybe someday!

Tish - This event is a total blast!  It's been a few years since I've attended it but I still remember what a trippy event it is.

Ralph - It's just as fun the adult who likes a scary time.  I speak from experience when I say that.

Kym - We have another event that is a "ScreamPark" and that will be my next post.

Gene - Hubby and I are actually planning to attend another haunted house but I will do a follow-up on that one.

Karen - It is a really great event to blog about.

Mike - It is a scary event.  I speak from experience when I say that.

Kat - It is a lot of fun for those who are into haunted houses.  It's one of the best haunted houses in the area.

Doug - I like it too but then I'm into scary stuff anyway.

Ed - Over the years, this event has been held in Hollywood.  It's just been at this location for quite a few years now.

Thx for stopping by everyone; I really appreciate it.  Have a good day and a great weekend too!  :)

Jill - It's the time of year and I recently got a consumer comment on one of my posts from last year and it was a reminder that consumers will be looking for this kind of info now and I just wanted to be able to continue to be a great local resource.

Christine - I've been to Knotts Scary Farm too and you're right, that event is definitely much more family oriented and geared for kids of all ages.  This event is much scarier and not for little kids.

Loreena - It is definitely fun and scary for those who are into haunted houses.

Jeff - We have a lot of haunted house enthusiasts in the area and I just recently got a consumer comment on one of my Halloween posts from last year so there are consumers looking for this info right now and I just want to continue to be a good resource for local events.

Lisa - Yeah, I too am a fan of haunted houses.  We do have some great ones around here and hubby and I enjoy them.

Don - Thx; I appreciate it.

Lisa - It is a scary event but a lot of fun for people who enjoy haunted houses.

Thx for stopping by everyone; I really appreciate it.  Have a good day everyone and a great weekend too!  :)
