NOW TESTING FOR POLICE ENTRY LEVEL

  • Applicants must bring valid photo ID

STARTING SALARY: $50,800

To be considered an entry-level candidate, an applicant must meet the following standards:

  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have a good overall driving record.
  • Be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment.
  • Have graduated from an accredited high school, or possess a high school diploma (General Equivalency Diploma) recognized by the Maryland Department of Education.
  • Have at least 30 college credits from an accredited college or university or life experience equivalent to 30 college credits as determined by the Chief of Police.
  • Be of good moral character, with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
  • Not be a current user of illegal drugs.
  • Be certifiable by the Maryland Police Training Commission (MPCTC) based on State of Maryland regulations.
