The Venice FL weekly Venice regional area residential statistics 10/1/2011 table shows the week between September 25 and October 1, 2011.  There were 42 new listings in the market. 31 listings went under contract and 44 listings were sold.  During the week of September 18 and September 24, 2011 there were 49 new listings, 40 listings have a contract and 15 listings were sold. Within a week listing sold increased 193.33%

 

 

According to the Venice FL weekly Venice regional area residential statistics 10/1/2011, comparing the inventory of homes since September 2010, the indication is that inventories have been going down since March 2011. Also the number of new listings, listings went under contract and number of sold listings have been leveling out. Home prices are dependant on supply and demand, if the inventory is going down, buyers are  buying, less homes in the market for sale, then the home prices will go up.
