As I read through this blog by Nestor & Katerina, I couldn't help but agree with what they are saying. Steve jobs was a brilliant american that proved, once again, that anyone with enough drive, smarts and perserverance can make a difference in the United States. Thank you Steve for everything that you had to sacrifice to bring us to your vision. It's been a great ride so far.
Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. passed away today. He leaves behind a legacy that is what living is all about. We all want to leave the world a better place then we found it when we pass on and Steve Jobs went above and beyond on that note. He was only 56 years old when he died today.
Steve changed the world, the way we work, the way we play, the way we communicate and the way we make a living. He is the mastermind of creativity when it comes to all things Apple like the iPhone, the iPad, the iPod, the iMac, the Mac Books Pro and Air, iTunes, iBook and the amazing App store where millionaires are made almost on a daily basis.
He has been my business hero and he wins a place among the Capitalists who know how to create products that the world will grab a hold of and want more of. Apple is second to only Exxon as the most valuable company in the world and it is on track to beat Exxon to take over that number one spot.
Steve Jobs is among the most important innovators and some of his peers consider him to be on the same level of innovative genius as Thomas Edison.
Steve Jobs dropped out of college at the age of 21 to start Apple in his parents' garage. He became a multimillionaire by the time he was 25. He was on the cover of Time magazine when he was 26. So even though he only lived to 56 years of age he accomplished what most do not accomplish in a lifetime.
He is listed in the Forbes List of Billionaires with a net worth of $8.3 Billion and he also was the largest shareholder of The Walt Disney Company. How fitting as Walt Disney is another human being who changed to world in a big way.
The lives he touched through his innovations are countless and the businesses he has saved and created through his innovations are many. Apple has paid out over $2 Billion to App Developers and Steve basically saved the recording label industry by creating iTunes. What used to be a difficult process became easy with iTunes. Steve talked recording artists into selling singles for 99 cents. How genius was that! Apple has paid over $12 Billion to record labels.
He touched our lives in a big way because we switched over to Macs about 3 years ago. The time we have saved because of Apple products and the increase in productivity is worth more than money. It is no wonder that mac fans are raving fans.

Here is one of my favorite speeches of all time- Steve Jobs Stanford University 2005 Commencement address:
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” -Steve Jobs
