Pragmatic Success / Success Through Pragmatism. Pragmatism is the key to both success and personal disaster! Being pragmatic is to stand at doors to both success and doom, between personal brilliance and compromised virtue.

We all know pragmatics who’ve compromised themselves, in the name of expediency. If you need more on the dark side of that subject see:

Innocence By Deception He Was Not Speeding

Let’s look at how the Pragmatic succeed.

Pragmatics get up each morning knowing they’ve got 16 to 20 hours to make the most of.

Pragmatics end each day knowing a new one starts at dawn.

Pragmatic Success

Pragmatics plan their time for maximum effectiveness.

Pragmatics are flexible. If an obstruction blocks their way they go around it. If it can’t get around it they wait for it to be removed, but keep preparing for what needs done on the other side.

Pragmatics make the most of their available time.

Pragmatics know there is always more than one way!

Pragmatics always keep moving towards a well defined goal!

Pragmatics know

Equity Is Optional / Liquidity Is Mandatory !

Pragmatics do the doable! They practice

Practical Pragmatic Real Estate!

Pragmatics often have

Inspired Brilliance !

Pragmatics make their own luck!

Pragmatics don’t believe in a predetermined destiny, they control their own destiny.

Bill thanks for pointing out the positive side of Pragmatic.  I guess I always looked at its more negative side before, but I much prefer the positive point of view that you presented.

Thanks George!

Alot of people are blaming pragmatism for their bad behavior.

Me I've always been an optimistic pragmatic.

This is the prelude A Pragmatic Opportunity!

I don't know much about the dung beetle, but maybe that is a good thing. I think that pragmatics can sometimes get in the way of creativity and innovation.

Bill - I think I read a book about this once. But there is only one way to do things right, and we must find that way.

Jon,

I think you're very pragmatic! Your time in New York doing what you could to feed your family, but keeping your eye on the goal is a great example!

Melissa,

My use of the Dung Beetle as an analogy of the dark side of pragmatism may have been a bit of a stretch. My point was people with character flaws often believe that dealing in dung is just being pragmatic. We're seeing so much of this in short sales, people who'll compromise themselves and their fiduciary to close the deal and then justifying it by claiming it was the only way!

Nick,

This is a first! I don't recall us ever disagreeing.

There is always more than one way to do it right!

Yes, there are those that believe that the ends justifies the means, and that is pragmatic, I'm not one of them!

Pragmatism is a tool, but like so many tools it can be missed used!

Pragmatism like a knife or a gun has the ability for great good or incredible harm it all depends on the user.

Hopefully you'll see where I'm coming from when I post A Pragmatic Opportunity, in a day or two.
