Eiffel Tower Heaven - From Home Staging Dreaming to Real Life

When I stage a home in Vancouver, I like to add a little fantasy to the stage.  Imagine a condo for sale in Vancouver that can transport your mind to a wonderful 3rd floor Paris apartment.  You'll more often than not find an Eiffel Tower replica in one of my home stages.  I just can't help myself.  I love everything French.  It's that "je ne sais quoi", the romance, the quality, the wine, the food, the amour that goes hand in hand with all things French.

Eiffel Tower - Home Staging

Well, imagine my delight when I decided to travel to Paris this past September, to wander the streets, soak up the Paris culture, and gaze at the Eiffel tower for real!  I find the Eiffel tower to be an amazing structure.  It's made of steel, and yet looks as fragile as lace.  It's tall and omnipresent, yet see-through and ephemeral.  I love looking at the Eiffel tower from afar, and yet getting up close gives a different but equally beautiful perspective.

Okay, for those history buffs out there, the Eiffel tower was built in 1889 for the Paris World Fair.  The structure was designed by Maurice Koechlin and was slated to be torn down after 20 years.  Thanks heavens they changed their minds!  Today, the Eiffel tower draws crowds and crowds of tourists all year around, and has become synonymous with the city of Paris itself.

This is a photo of me flirting with some dashing young cavaliers.  They were at the theatre by the Eiffel tower, I'm assuming to promote "The Three Musketeers".

Maureen - You know, I think you're right!  Kind of like Perrier, Chevrolet, and Bistro!

David - I'm so glad you agree that just about anything French in a stage is appropriate!  What's a girl to do when d'Artagnan shows up on a horse?

Valerie - Shameless, I know, but you would have flirted too!  How could one not?  Ah yes, "zee blooog".

Sharon - Ha ha ha!  Oh, I bet you can hear my cork popping all the way to New Hampshire!  Cheers, girlfriend!  Salut!

Karen - Actually, it pretty much already is!

William - It was fun to watch Woody Allan's new movie, "Midnight in Paris" on the airplane to Paris, then arrive, and actually be in this wonderful city.

Kathy - "Cavalier" certainly isn't a word one gets the chance to use often, and yet it just sort of rolls off the tongue, like pretty much all French words.  Oh, give your doggie a hug for me, by the way!  Ha ha!  Put Paris on your list - it's a must!
