Hands

"...and thank you to whoever bought my decal.  Amen."

Yes, there truly are things in this world that we just can't explain.  Take my experience yesterday, for example...

My tag expired at the end of September, but I hadn't gone to get it renewed until yesterday.  Not too bad- but I just hate driving around with an expired tag!  I went into the local tax collector's office and handed the clerk a printout of my title number so that I could take care of things- bill was $106.

He checked the system, and said "This is current- it expires September 2012".  Further research revealed that my renewal had been done in personThe plot thickens...I told him I was absolutely certain I hadn't been in there and renewed it in person!

"Let's see...County Code 39. Where's that?", the guy asked himself aloud.  I told him I surely didn't have any idea. But that's how/where my tag was renewed.

Turns out "County Code 39" is Levy County, Florida- with the biggest city there being Chiefland as best I can tell.  I don't know anyone in Levy County- let alone anyone that'd be going into the Levy County Tax Collector's Office and paying $106 for my decal renewal. But that's what happened- checked and verified 3 times by 2 different people yesterday.

Maybe I'll figure out who did it one of these days.  Someone might come up to me in Publix or something and say "Hey, I'm the guy that paid for your decal back in 2011!"....or maybe not.

But He already knows who did it, and I figure he thinks it's a pretty cool thing.

I doubt I'll ever be able to personally or privately thank whoever paid my $106- but I'm thankful I have this bit of a forum to express my sincere appreciation.

Thank you, Mr. or Mrs. Whoever.  May God truly bless you and the entire Whoever Family.

"...and thank you to whoever bought my decal. Amen."

That's pretty interesting....wonder how something like that happens.  Surely that can't just be an accident...it had to have purpose!

Good Fortune! pass it on! :)

Hi, Ron:  Thank you for stopping by, and for your comment.  It's something that makes no sense at all- but I have my newly-renewed registration in hand.  And I do plan on passing the good fortune along.

Well good for you! I wonder if that person would be interested in a trip to California to continue their generosity? I'd be just as appreciative.

Hi, Mark:  Thank you for stopping by, and for your comment.  Days roll along- but still no option but that someone up above sent word to someone down below that I needed some help. I'm still amazed....
