Luxury Real Estate Marketing: Peace, Love and Guacamole

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Today marks the beginning of the 25th Avocado Festival in Carpinteria, California, and will continue through Sunday.  Admission is free.  Carpinteria is where we live, it is a small beach town known for having one of the safest beaches. Peace Love and Guacamole is the theme of this year's festival.

California is known as the Avocado Capital and produces 90% of the nation's crop.  The majority of California avocados are grown on 60,000 acres between San Luis Obispo and the Mexican border.  California avocados grow year round, and one tree can produce 500 avocados.  Carpinteria has numerous avocado ranches, and after tasting many avocados, we usually buy from the Carpinteria growers as we feel they are the best tasting.  Of course, this is just our humble opinion.

AvoFest differentiates our town from other towns.  It is the brand of the town and they take it seriously.  We have guacamole contests, live bands on three stages.  One of the local bands, Spencer the Gardener from Santa Barbara recently released a new CD featuring the song, A.V.O.C.A.D.O.

Happy Friday, and don't forget to have some guacamle!  Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

Tony,

We do also.  It is fun to celebrate the avocado.  The avocado ranchers keep bees, and the honey produced from the flowers is very dark and has undertones of molasses in the taste and is not as sweet as regular honey.  Thanks for commenting, A

Ron and Alexandra I love avocados and would have attended the festival if I was closer.  The flowers are a nice backdrop for the avocados.

Thanks for sharing some precious moments in time.  What a wonderful reminder to our community that we live in a prosperious country filled with bounty and people who care about our land and the food we eat.

Your photo image definitely draws us into your story and makes us feel like we visited along side you.

So much vitamin content in avacados as well!  Nice reminder about the agricultural industry that doesnt rely on one product.

Sharon,

It brings business to our little town, and the AVO FEST donates its proceeds from booth rentals, etc, to all the charitable groups in Carpinteria.  It is a win/win. A

Kathy,

Do put it on you calendar for next year and come hang out with us.  Yes, they even make avocado ice cream, just like Gilroy with their garlic ice cream. A

Toni,

If you are ever near a Cheesecake Factory, they have a killer avocado roll served with a zesty sauce.  We often put them in omelettes, also.  Thanks for commenting. A
