It's Friday already and that means it's time for the latest edition of Weekend Fun Knoxville Style!
Once again, there are a lot of things to do, starting today, so let's get this ball rolling...
Who doesn't like to whine a little...whoops, that's who doesn't like WINE! Yes, head down to Knoxville Landing for Wine on the Water to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For $60 you get wine tasting, wonderful food, and live music, and you are helping those with CF while having this great time.
If you are into Antiquing (and who isn't?) head on up to Clinton for the Clinch River Antiques Festival. While you're checking out all those antiques, there are children's games to keep the kiddos busy happy. Downtown Clinton will be bustling with antiques today and Saturday (Oct. 7-8).
Also starting today is the Tennessee Fall Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia. Showcasing traditional mountain skills, crafts, music, food and much much more, the Fall Homecoming is a "happening event," this weekend (Oct. 7-9). The Museum of Appalachia never disappoints.
One more Festival to tell you about, and that's the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville. From October 7-9, there are concerts, arts (including juried arts) and plenty to do for the kiddos. Check out their website for concert info.
Finally, it wouldn't be a fall weekend if the UT Vols weren't playing. The Vols are kicking off at 7 pm on Saturday night against Georgia. Why is it the crowd seems to roar just a little louder during night games?
