Hiking in Phoenix North Mountain Preserve

Anna I love the outdoors too.  It is nice that we have phones from which we can return calls from anywhere.   I hope you get more opportunities weekly to enjoy something you love.

Anna, I lived in The Valley back in the 70's.    I visit Scottsdale every year.

 There is nothing like a Hike in the Sonoran Desert!

What a lovely day and what great photos. I'm thinking I'll be ready to head there for a hike in another month or two as our days get drearier and gloomier. Thanks for sharing.

Anna, It seems like life just can't get any better ... and then it does. I like to hike yet my real joy is the ocean.  That is where I go to reconnect and re-energize.  It would "ruin" the experience for me to answer calls from God's bathtub ... so I afford myself the gift of not answering my phone for a few hours and responding in a timely manner.  Life is great - Isn't it?

Anna, Days like today are stunning from sunup to long after dark.  I just came in from watching the "moving constellations" (planes coming over the white tanks and estrella ranges from California) and admiring the moonlight on the mountains.  Perfection.

I couldn't agree more. Your backyard is Phoenix North mine is Phoeinx Mtns Preserve along what used to be the old Dreamy Draw Drive, (my age is showing). It's that time of year when, as my husband says, we begin to see "roving bands of walking women" and I'm one of them. We are truly blessed to live in this beautiful valley.

What breathtaking pictures of such beautiful country. And it does look so inviting to hike.

Anna, alone time and quiet is important to each of us. If only I had those views to hike! You are a lucky lady here and please continue to be. You are worth it! Beautiful shots and they make me want to be there with you! Breathe deep and relax. Meet with yourself. It is the best meditiation there is! Fantastic post!
