Floor Time and Walk-In Opportunities

It was roughly a month ago when a couple from Modesto stopped by our office in San Francisco's  West Portal on a quiet afternoon. They have a home in West Portal / Inner Parkside that had been rented out for the past 12 years. The tenants and sub-tenants finally moved out, so they've had a contractor working For Rent West Portalon the house - painting, refinishing the wood floors, replacing some windows and doors. They were tired of managing it from a distance, so we talked about the possibility of our management division taking it on. They thanked me and said they would be in touch. End of story? Hold on.

Last week I got a call from them asking me to meet them at the home in a few days - they wanted me to see it. It's a beautiful period detached home from the 1920's, beautiful hardwood floors, original period light fixtures, original hardware, and within easy walking distance to West Portal and a quick MUNI ride downtown (See the map). I gave them a management contract for them to review with their mother, who is the actual owner. Watch for more news and photos coming soon.

Who says everyone is on the internet these days! This couple isn't and wanted a local company to represent them. Luckily I was there at the right time, and in the right place!!

John, we need to provide consumers with the accessability they want and need.  Clearly this couple wanted to talk to face to face.  Lucky for them you were there.  Sounds like a great house.  I can't wait to see the photos.

Roger, they are a delightful couple. I'm sure they will be absolutely wonderful to work with.

I know Nancy. Sometimes local and nearby (5 blocks) beats the big guys. I'm glad I was in that day.

Fred, a lot of the people in the West Portal and Sunset neighborhoods have been there a LONG time, many past the age for getting involvled in the internet. We have to be responsive to the neighborhoods we live in.
