While the trees have been turning color for 2-3 weeks in Northern New England, they have just started to show signs of the Fall Season here in Middletown, Connecticut.  Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons that we have, and while north of us is where people go to view the foliage, Connecticut can foliage can also be exceptional with all the bright red, yellow, orange, and rust colored leafs.

Now that they have started to change, it will not be long before all of the trees will turn, and all the hill tops will look like a painting.  The season will be short, but it will be unforgettable as always.

Beautiful picture, George. This was a great weekend for Vermont & New Hampshire - and our turn in MA is soon - in few days...

Beautiful photo... how I miss seeing the changing leaves!  Southern California does not do justice to the fall season!

I've always wanted to see autumn on the east coast. We get gorgeous colors, too, but often the temperature drops so fast, the colors don't last long.

George that looks like the ridge area at the end of 691 just above the lake. They will start to change at the end of this warm spell

Peggy, the trees will start to change quickly now that they have finally started to change color

Praful, upper Mass is beautiful once the foliage is in full color

Susan, but you guys have the nice warm weather when we are freezing and shoveling snow .......... LOL

Mike, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine are just about in full color right now, we will be in another couple of weeks.

Gretchen, the weather does play a big part, and some years the color are more vivid than others.

Ed, I took this by Zorn's Pond off of Randolph Road, RT155.  But it does look a little like Higby Mountain.

Great reminder George to get out and enjoy this season - it doesn't last long and before we know the trees are bare and that white stuff is falling uggg. Enjoy the holiday!

I grew up in those areas of the country with real seasons.  Fall and winter not like here.  However, this is where I live.

George my favorite time of year, you see I love vibrant colors:)   The weather this year is affecting the foliage; many leaves have fallen with out changing.

I look forward to more CT photos as the season progresses.

George, what kind of fall colors are you expecting?  From the looks of your photo they still have a way to go.
