Okay, so I was driving over to Half Moon Bay to get my pumpkins on Saturday...  This white car passed me up and it looked quite peculiar...

Bread in the backseat

The dude driving was loaded down with tons of loaves of bread!  I mean stacked to the brim!  I had to step on it to get a better picture...  I wonder if it was hard to resist the bread, and he snacked a bit on his way!

Bread

As I was driving toward Half Moon Bay, I giggled to myself...  I was thinking it would be funny if this guy was headed to San Francisco to sell the bread at a shop on Pier 39 or something.  Then calling it San Francisco Sourdough Bread...  HAHAHA  (I have to say there looks to be over a hundred of 'em!)

:)

Chris - I used to have and work in a small franchise fast food restaurant, and the first batch that we baked was 50 loaves, and we would them add another 50 or more. 100 loaves of bread is not really a big number for commercial use

Chris, I work in a kitchen every Saturday morning and we get free bread from a local bakery, so maybe it was our weekly delivery.  I guess it would be four day old instead of day old if it were coming from the West Coast huh?

I love that! I was driving down the road once when I lived in Atlanta and there was a full size elephant statue being pulled by a truck. I had a video of it from my phone but have no idea where that is today!

Hi,
That's too funny.
A picture is really worth more than a thousand words and definitely worth a photo.
Have a wonderful week!

Years ago there was a little old man in our community who went to Safeway every few days and collected their day-old bread and pastries. He then drove all around the area, delivering it to people in need. Maybe the person you saw was on the way to make a similar delivery - or headed for a food bank.
