Red Rover, Red Rover, don't send any Agent over!

Real Estate Agent with Want To Go Home Realty

Unless you receive a referal from a friend or relative, sometimes hiring a Real Estate Agent to handle your Real Estate needs is like playing a game, you never know who you are going to pick.

Do you want an agent who shows you a house but doesn't tell you to look beyond the homeowners furnishings to see just how great the "house" is?  A house that a buyer might see a "claustrophobic" with the homeowners belongings, might be just perfect for your buyers belongings, if they could just see past what the current homeowner has.

How about an agent who shows you that perfect house but you don't want to put an offer in on it because it has 70's shag green carpet in all the bedrooms?  The agent should write the offer so that the shag carpet is addressed and either removed or replaced prior to closing.  An experienced agent will know this and not let a buyer pass up a house that they "love" in spite of carpet.

Don't play games with your home purchase.  Research the agent you are about to hire to help you make one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.

Ginny,

I agree.....I think we all have gotten a Seller who first tried someone that told them what they wanted to hear, NOT what was going to sell their home.

Ginny we test drive cars, why not agents. I ask people to let me show them three houses. If I haven’t demonstrated expertise and helpfulness in three showings far beyond their expectations then they should use someone else.
