"Help for Homeowners" Short Sale Event

By
Real Estate Agent with Gina McKinley Group LLC

As part of the Obama Administration’s Making Homes Affordable Program, The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Department of Housing and Urban Development are partnering with NeighborWorks America to bring a free homeowner event to the area. The event is free of charge and designed to help bring together homeowners in financial distress for a face-to-face meeting with a representative from their mortgage lender and/or local housing counselor.

An informational session, “Avoid Foreclosure with a Short Sale,” will be available to the public on Wednesday, October 12, from 2-7:30pm at the Phoenix Convention Center (100 North Third St., Phoenix, AZ, 85004). Home owners who can no longer stay in their homes, have been turned down for a loan modification, or have already listed their property for sale can come and learn more about short sales and the options available for them. Homeowners will have the opportunity to meet with their servicers and may also speak with onsite housing counselors. Real estate professionals with a third-party authorization or executed short sale agreement in place are welcome to accompany their homeowner clients in conversation with the servicer.

I will be attending the realtor only informational session, “Helping Your Clients Avoid Foreclosure with a Short Sale,” will be volunteering at the homeowner session, “Avoid Foreclosure with a Short Sale,” and will be available to answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions regarding this event or short sales, please feel free to call me at 480-355-8645.
