This Livermore treasure is part of the Livermore Area Recreational and Park District (LARPD).  Built in the 1890s, this restored Victorian is recognized in the national, state and local historic registries.

Built by Christopher Augustine Buckley, the 100-acre estate was a working winery, and you’ll still notice the acres of vines at the forefront of the property. This charming building is a favored spot for local events, including many weddings. Available for rental through the LARPD, Ravenswood is also open to the public for tours, complete with docents in period attire. Tours are held the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, and run every 20 minutes beginning at noon.

A long-standing and popular event is the annual Ice Cream Social, held the second Sunday in August.  Equally enjoyable is the Victorian Yuletide celebration held the second Sunday in December.

Call LARPD for additional information. (925) 373-5708.

Hi Karen,

This is a beatiful historical home that was turned into a fancy place to hold weddings, teas, parties and other celebrations. We have one in Redlands called Edwards Mansion. As a matter of fact, I was married there 32 years ago. Wow, how time flies. I have heard Livermore is very pretty.
