I'm a multitasker...I got a flu shot all the while negotiating a deal today...how do you feel about the pro's and con's of a flu shot?

Well I had another great day today.  I'm working two deals, selling one property and buying another!!! I am so happy.

It was interesting.  I just joined the Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL Chamber of Commerce.  While reviewing their brochure this morning I saw where Publics was offering Flu shots for $30.00 to the general public. Today in Sea Ranch Lakes at the Publics they had them scheduled for 3 pm - 7 pm. Ah ha! I thought to myself...there is construction going on all around that Publics, perhaps I can sneak in the back way and get my flu shot.

Well, I'm happy to say, it worked.  I arrived @3:45, filled out my short questionaire and my cell phone rang.  As I am working the deal the nurse looks at me and I said, "Go ahead, stick me" all the while listening to the other agent telling me the verbal offer.  She gave me my shot...didn't even feel it. I handed her the cash...and then I looked at her and I said, "Thank you, is that it?" She said, "Yes".  I said, "Thanks for understanding, I'm still working!" She said, "You are one of the few Realtor's who are!"..."working".  I winked at here, handed her some cards and went on my way...all the while I was still multitasking and listening to the other agent who was still trying to sell me on his offer...

As I was walking out of Publics lobby, I said to the other agent, "Sorry I didn't answer you I was just getting a flu shot!" He said, "oh well, go ahead!" I said "I already had the shot and I'm off to my car!" He was amazed that I just spent 5 minutes listening to him present a verbal offer and had a shot all at the same time!

The point of my post is...flu shots are easy to get if you want one...with the amount of contact we have on a daily basis with the general public, a flu shot could keep you IN COMMISSION, instead of in bed for a few weeks.

Those people at risk of contracting the flu should take a few moments out of their day and take advantage of the opportunity.  Might save you a deal or two...

Live strong and be healthy and happy through your Holiday's this year.

I'll let you know how my arm feels tomorrow!  LOL

What are your feelings of the pro's and con's of a flu shot?

Hi BLR,

I am a little sore this am.  I'm not sure if it's the flu shot or the fact that I carried marketing materials for 16 hours this weekend through out the Yacht Show here in Fort Lauderdale. Have to go clean off my porch just in case that tropical storm develops into something.  Thanks for your post.

Karen...

I get one every year because my doc insists. But for some reason they make me sick for a day.

Must be the 'other' meds :)

Don't worry. That's as far as I'll go...I'll give you a break and behave on your blog :)

TLW...ROAR!

TLW,

You can say whatever is on your mind on my blog.  I was going to email you a pic last night...or did I???

I have to get one b/c I had the Renal Cell Ca. But since I am a survivor, I guess one day of a sore arm is worth it!
