San Luis Obispo Coats For Kids Drive

Normally, I use my blog for helping out first time home buyers and for real estate education but today I am going to use it to promote my Rotaract Club of San Luis Obispo's 2nd annual Coats For Kids drive. The coat drive is a local initiative taken on by local "20 something" year old professionals and generates warm coats for local in need children. Last year I got the idea from a neighboring community's Rotary club and got our club's opinion on whether or not we wanted to do something like this. The vote was unanimous and by the end of October our community had given us nearly 1,200 coats. All of which went back to our community.

This year, our goal is 1,500 coats.

Coat drop off locations are spread out all across the county and if you want to find a location near you; please feel free to visit www.SLOCFK.org.

All coats in need of being cleaned will be done at no charge as a sponsorship by Paul's Drycleaners in SLO, storage of coats is sponsored by Meathead Movers, boxes were donated by Service Master of Paso Robles and printing of posters and flyers was generously donated by Central Coast Print. Obviously, without local support we wouldn't be able to help these kids have warm clothes this winter.

For any info, even if you want to know how to start a drive in your community, please let me know so no kids go cold this winter.
