It's no secret that the neighborhoods around Geist Reservoir feature some of the most beautiful Indianapolis real estate around. One of my favorite Geist neighborhoods is Windjammer, an enclave of just 55 homes off of Fall Creek, east of 96th Street.
The Windjammer neighborhood features custom homes built in the mid-to late 80s. The homes themselves are lovely and very well maintained, but what really sets Windjammer apart are the large, beautifully landscaped and heavily wooded lots. It gives the neighborhood a cozy feeling, even during the winter months. And you just know trick-or-treating would be a blast in Windjammer!
Windjammer residents enjoy a small, intimate neighborhood, but also have great access to Geist neighborhoods, marina, restaurants and shops. A pedestrian path on the south side of Fall Creek extends past Geist Marina to Carroll Road: perfect for walking, biking and running!
An added bonus for Windjammer residents is that although they have an Indianapolis address, they are part of Hamilton County and attend Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
Charm, location, and schools make Windjammer a top pick for buyers looking for a beautiful home in the Geist area. Because it's a small neighborhood with relatively low turnover, Windjammer homes typically sell quickly and net an average of more than 96% of list price. Which means that buyers looking for a home in Windjammer shouldn't let a good one pass them by!
