Once upon a time there were three bears, Papa Bear, Momma Bear, and Baby Bear...
How many times do you remember hearing this as a little child...and if you were like me, it was one of your favorites!
The actual story doesn't start out like that at all...We forgot 'Goldilocks'!
Goldilocks, as you remember was a typical consumer...She consumed porridge, tried out chairs, and selected a comfortable bed...In my story, then, she will be our 'Consumer'!
Papa Bear is 'the real estate agent', Momma Bear is the 'Mortgage Man', and Baby Bear is the 'Title Guy'! Now remember the object of the whole story is 'that everyone lives happily everafter'!!! (For you purists, she actually ran off into the woods, never to return...see below)
Goldilocks, first of all may have been the first FSBO, inasmuch as she let herself into the unlocked home of the three bears uninvited and alone!
She then took it upon herself to eat their food, rest in their chairs, and sleep in their beds.
Had the three bears been at home would they have been 'hospitable' enough to have invited her into their home? Remember now, in our story they are all professionals!!!
Would each bear have respected one another enough to give Goldilocks the feeling of 'being right at home'! With their food, their chairs, and their beds...To give Goldilocks the choice of food, chair, bed, etc....or would they have 'scared her off'!!!
Here is the last paragraph ending the story of "Goldilocks And The Three Bears":
Just then Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears. She screamed, "Help!" And she jumped up and ran out of the room. Goldilocks ran down the stairs, opened the door, and ran away into the forest. And she never returned to the home of the three bears.
Will this be our consumer after a real estate transaction in which we're involved?
Or will our consumer create referrals bringing us new business and living happily everafter!!!
