Asheville Cat is Upside Down but Hanging On!Asheville Real Estate Journal – “What’s a SELLER To Do?” Seller Solutions ~ Asheville Style

You probably have heard the quip,
“What’s a Mother To Do?”

Imagine a variation on that expression plus a whole other the level of frustration facing  today’s Sellers in a Buyers’ Market.

What’s a SELLER To Do?

Especially if, like our Asheville friend in the photo here,s/he is upside down and hanging on!?

We have been putting a great deal of thought into the strategies and tactics that effectively can offer possible seller solutions here in Asheville.

Of course there are more possibilities, but here are three we would like to offer...just for a start...please add yours in the comment section!

3 Steps A Seller Can Take to Expedite Solutions and Sell Properties in a Buyers' Market

1. Deeply Acknowledge the Real Estate Market Climate
SELLERS face HIGH residential inventories & FIERCE Competition.

Therefore, Sellers need to find and utilize ways to stand out from the crowd.

2. Recognize and Respond Appropriately to the Numbers:

90 % of Buyers use Social Media and Web to Search for a Home.

36 %  of Buyers found the actual home that they purchased online.

93 % of online traffic comes from PAGE ONE Search Results.

80% of SERIOUSLY LOOKING BUYERS come from less common phrases.

80% of sales are NOT made until the 5th - 12th contact.

3. Interview and Select a Web-Savvy REALTOR® . This professional not only understands the proven power of technology to address the “What’s a SELLER To Do” situation, but can demonstrate (IMPORTANT) that s/he  knows how to connect Sellers with Buyers and provide maximum exposure for the Seller via Active Rain and outreach to various social media.

Too true. And their on-line photos need to look great too. Houses that look better than the competition and are priced at market value can still sell fast.

Lead the market don't follow it in pricing Mr and Mrs Seller. And the list of suggestions to make it shine, stand out from the herd that you the professional wearing the "R" provided, do them one by one pronto. Great blog post JaneAnne! I 'liked" it, like Mikey.

First off, Jane, let me say how adorable that picture of the cat is:-)   I also think your first point, "Deeply Acknowledge the Real Estate Market Climate."  I think that may be difficult for many sellers to do currently, because of the decline in home values.  BUT it is vitally important!
