Thursday Was "International" Day For Me.
My seller, who lives in Thailand, sold and closed on a condo Thursday morning that he had purchased 20+ years ago as investment property. He was here in Dallas for a week this summer to get the property ready to sell. That was the only time I met him. The rest of our communications were carried out via email, plus one long distance phone call. He had to go to the U.S. Consulate in Thailand to sign the closing documents because that's where the U.S. Notary was located.
Thursday afternoon, I received a call from Germany. The voice said "Do you remember me from when I was in Afghanistan?" I have never met this client. He purchased a home with my assistance several years ago while he worked overseas for the Department of Defense. And now he is ready to sell the house. From Germany.
And Thursday evening, to complete the trifecta, I received an email message from a Dallas resident who is working in England.
It's a small world, after all. It's a small, small world!
