The photos tell the story on this one Clint, nice post and I hope you get to stay out of the mud for a while after that one.
Yikes, now that is downright scary my friend. Down and dirty indeed!
Clint, You certainly cannot tell the book by it's cover, nor can you tell how a home looks until get down right dirty in the crawl space. Those pictures gives a clear cause for concern with all those problems.
Hi Al,
I'm not planning not to get too dirty today. Going to do a little shopping and a little visiting to the Christian camp.
Thanks for the comment.
Best, Clint McKie
Hello Mr. Bond.
It's not that "scary" till you see something with fur and it's moving towards you in a hurry. LOL
Then it's time for a different line of work. LOL
Have a great day in Ohio.

Hi jerry,
Your right. From the outside it's agreat home. Inside great too.
But under the home.... see for your self.
When inspecting you need to look at the entire home, even the crawl spaces.
Have a good day in San Antonio,

Clint, Wow, truly out of sight, and out of mind! Good thing these buyers did not opt for NO INSPECTION and you were on their side!
Clint,
It too bad I see this kind of stuff so often. Though this is a special one ; ). Nice punch in the stucco at the entrance also. They( hwo ever they are ; ) say between 7 to 21 gallons of moisture move in a home per day from lack of vapor barrier.
Hi Joan,
The sellers are pissed off now. They did'nt like me finding any thing wrong. Oh well. It's why I inspect. The buyers are happy campers though. They are going to buy the home after the crawlspace issues are addressed.
Have a good day in Denver.
Best, Clint Mckie
Hey Donald,
That's about right on the vapor. These owners did'nt have a clue about what has went on or what was going on in the crawl space. Thank goodness the additions were on a slab.
Have a great day , Clint McKie
Clint........UNREAL! It's amazing what some people will do......Thanks!
Have a Great Weekend!
Go VOLS!
Clint - speaks to the old adage - Don't judge a book by it's cover! Wow, that crawl space looks like a mess and I can't imagine how you even got around!
HI Rob,
So how did you do on the "links"? I did'nt see the scores, how did the Vols do. Thanks for the comment.
Have a great Sunday in Bristol, Tennessee.

Hi Kristine,
It was a hard place to get around in. With all the wires, insulation and pipes hanging everywhere.
Glad I always bring a change of clothes.
Have a good Sunday in New Jersey.
Best, Clint McKie
Good Morning Clint, what a mess. A great place for skunks to nest in, not to mention the rattle snakes etc. An excellent post for home owners on 'what not to do'!
Hi Dan,
Yep, there were a few friends under there. But they were small friends.
The crawl spaces need to be checked jusy like everything else on and in a home. Never know what you might find.
Have a great day, Best, Clint McKie
Clint, What a mess! Nothing like electrical wires sitting in the mud. Hope everything works out for the buyers! Have a great day!
Good morning Keith,
It was all taken care of. when I went back to see for the buyers, they had the mess cleaned up.
The buyers did buy the home and all is well for them, "NOW". LOL
Have a great day on the East coast my friend,

Hi Roy and Delores,
I'll try not to get too muddy this week.
It's been a struggle to keep from getting really dirty. Seems like every home I go to has been a real pain as far as getting really dirty on the job.
Have a great week ahead my friend.
