I love that building, how old is it? Looks like it is from the early 1900s, but it also looks like it is in pretty amazing condition.

Wow - That's a GREAT looking building. Our YMCA here in Sacramento doesn't look anything like that!
I was also wondering how old that building is. Has it always been the YMCA? Love the bowfront and is that marble inlay?
Todd and Mona, it may have been built in the late 1800's. The building might have been a private club known as the 'Progress Club'. I need to do some research. I know the YMCA building on Paseo Blvd. is on the National Historic Register but I'm not sure about this one. It is in the historic area of Quality Hill in Kansas City's downtown; south of the Garment District.
