8 Comments on Prospecting 101: "Just Sold" postcards???
Renae...a couple of other options that you can get good mileage from too are a)take a couple of photos with the family holding/next to a sold sign in their yard with the home as the backdrop b)do the same but with video (might be too late unless your former clients are willing c)blog about the sale using the photos/video d)post the content on your local homeowners site if one exists or put it in a newsletter and mail it to your neighbors
Congrats on the sale and with your marketing efforts.
Renae,
If you can use a stamp. The key word everyone loves to see is SOLD!!! Add a tag line to the affect, I now have time to help you sell your home too! Good luck.
Renae, I noticed you work for Century 21. Have you ever visited the website www.merrillshop.com? When you get there you select your company "Century 21" and there are postcard options just like what you have mentioned in your post. I agree that a photo of the house with family and a sold sign would be a nice touch and can be uploaded to the postcard (make sure you take the pic in high res). Congrats on the sale! --Krystal
First of all, congratulations on the sale. You SHOULD let people know. However, I would recommend you think about what you are going to do after this post card...develop a strategy for CONTINUALLY marketing this neighborhood. In my opinion, that is the key with direct mail...it has to be consistent.
Renae, Congratulations on the sale and best of luck prospecting in that neighborhood!
I love the comments and the suggestions I received from everyone on this post!
I have definitely been working on devising a plan for prospecting this neighborhood AFTER the initial "Just Sold" postcard. I want to do something like an 8 or 12 week postcard series, each with a different theme generated toward selling in this very desirable neighborhood.
Thanks again, y'all!! AR is just the most wonderful community!!
Renae, You might want to rethink the printed postage, depending on how many pieces you are sending out. If you put stamps on them, they look more personal. You can choose a stamp you like, which also adds more of a personal touch.
Well, I ordered the "Just Sold" postcards today ~ I did not order them with postage on them already. I'm going to purchase stamps at the post office and pick them out =)
Thanks for all the great advice!!
