The national news may be talking about a slow down in new construction sales but in Prince William County VA the earth is moving.

Driving around Prince William County you can see the Reserve at Port Potomac, Villas at Eagles Pointe, Powells Landing and Potomac Crest as just a few examples of home home sites with inventory selling. Major builders are delivering homes within 90 days of contract signing depending on location and a few builders have already finished homes ready for move in within 30 days.

Cindy, New construction is coming on strong in my area as well (southwest Chicago suburbs). Right now we can still dig and close by the end of the year if the buyers move fast in the next few weeks.

Cindy I wish that was the same case here! My husband has 15 building lots, and fears of how things are not selling here have made the only active we see on these is paying the taxes!

Hi Cindy, new construction here is rare. Good thing because I know existing homeowner's compete with new construction in other areas across the country. Must be difficult.

Jackie-I don't consider it competition but another point for my sellers to consider when pricing their home and another choice for my buyers when they are house hunting.
